X-Rite Pantone has launched the latest addition to its eXact 2 range of portable spectrophotometers. The eXact 2 Basic is designed for commercial print production, for use by printers who measure colour directly at press. Aimed at providing an easy-to-use product, the device combines density and LAB colour measurement in a handheld, standalone device. Overall, the product aims to help commercial printers and converters improve efficiency, reduce waste, and deliver consistent colour. It features an intuitive workflow and requires minimal training, meaning ‘operators can quickly achieve consistent and reliable results.
Available now, the eXact 2 Basic will be premiered at the upcoming LOUPE Americas and Printing United Expo events, both taking place in September. X-Rite Pantone aims to use these events to highlight how the product fits within an integrated colour workflow, including digital colour standards, ink formulation, press-side measurement, quality management and production reporting.
