Japanese international retail brand UNIQLO, which has recently opened its second India store in Gurugram, is counting the market to be central to its business strategy. A company statement mentions that the firm wants to ‘expand very rapidly’ in the country. The launch of the second store, located in Gurugram’s upscale Cyber Hub, comes within a short span after they launched their first outlet in New Delhi’s Ambience Mall. The retailer is understood to have generated over Rs 2 cr in sales in the first two days of its operation. Vibrancy in the retail sector with rapid expansion of high-end retail stores of multinational brands like Uniqlo will bring new business to signage companies engaging in in-store graphic and branding projects.
