The Vantage platform if Summa delivers 200 N vertical and horizontal cutting force, a 5 HP/3.7 kW router running at up to 60,000 RPM and acceleration up to 1G. The company says the platform can deliver productivity gains of 40 percent or more. “Businesses are not short of ambition; they are short of capacity,” said Geert Pierloot, managing director at Summa. “The F Series Vantage was developed to remove the constraints that limit that ambition.” The platform uses Summa’s GoConnect software with a universal API architecture, allowing integration with third-party automation systems including robotic loading, vision technology and production machinery. Automation features include front, rear and 50/50 extension table configurations; operator mode and tandem mode for continuous production; MiriSys-powered nesting optimization; barcode-driven workflow automation; and heavy-duty roll support handling rolls up to 200 kg (441 lb).
“What matters is how quickly you can move from one completed job to the next,” said Stijn Henderickx, CEO of Summa. “The F Series Vantage combines automation, operator-friendly interfaces and an optimized tool library to take human error out of the equation.” The platform’s steel chassis and long-life beam and carriage components are designed for durability, and the architecture includes accessible service points for maintenance. Operator software GoProduce, automatic device calibration, automated tool and module recognition and an ultrasonic media thickness sensor are included. The company says new operators can become productive in as little as one hour.
