Soyang secures SEAQUAL certification for textiles

Soyang Europe has announced that Soyang Technologies has secured the prestigious SEAQUAL Certificate from the SEAQUAL Initiative, reinforcing its focus on sustainable production. The SEAQUAL Initiative comprises a community of organisations, businesses, and individuals who work together to remove plastic waste from oceans, rivers, beaches, and coastlines. This is then converted by licensed manufacturers into SEAQUAL Marine Plastic, a high-quality, traceable raw material used in a range of applications, including the creation of textiles.

Achieving certification positions Soyang within a global movement tackling marine plastic pollution and advancing the circular economy. By incorporating SEAQUAL-certified materials into its products, the company is helping transform marine waste into durable, high quality textile solutions. This latest certification builds on Soyang’s existing environmental credentials, which include OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), as well as industry recognition from FESPA UK for leadership in sustainable practices and waste reduction.
