Roland DG D EA2 inks now compatible with TrueVIS XP-640

Roland DG has announced the expanded availability of its D EA2 eco solvent inks, which is now compatible with its TrueVIS XP 640. By pairing TrueVIS hardware – which the company says is ‘already widely recognised as a benchmark for consistent, high quality production’ – with a more affordable multi colour ink option, users can achieve enhanced colour expression and wider gamut capabilities while significantly reducing operational costs. Launched initially for DGXPRESS printers in 2025, Roland explains that the new multi colour D EA2 configuration ‘enables sharper colour reproduction, smoother gradients, and increased vibrancy, making it even more ideal for businesses producing brand critical signage, labels, vehicle graphics and retail displays’.

The addition of Red, Orange, and Green inks effectively widens the achievable colour space, making it easier to match complex brand palettes, while Light Black delivers improvements in graininess and enhanced photographic tonal gradation. Roland further claims that the upgraded D EA2 inks ‘deliver up to 40 percent savings compared to the TrueVIS TH inks, enabling PSPs to take on more profitable, colour demanding work, attract higher value clients, and confidently expand into applications that require precise, vibrant output’.
