The multi-format retailer Reliance Retail Ltd (RRL) opened the second ‘Reliance Mart’ store in Tamil Nadu and the first in Coimbatore, at the Fun Republic Mall on Avinashi Road in Peelamedu. The company, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), which has a slew of retail store formats, including Reliance Super and Reliance Fresh, plans to open another Reliance Mart outlet at Salem. The Coimbatore Reliance Mart is spread over 45,000 sq ft and stocks over 20,000 products ranging from vegetables and grocery items to apparels, electronics and white goods. Surging of Reliance in the retail sector has brought in a fresh business opportunity for the signage companies dealing in in-store displays and other related activities.
