Planet Fashion to touch 200 stores mark

Planet Fashion, a retail initiative of Madura Fashion & Lifestyle Retail and a part of the Aditya Birla Group, will touch a mark of 200 stores by year-end. Launched in 2001 as a retail format to cater to customers seeking a choice of the best brands, Planet Fashion currently boasts of 145 stores across 97 cities, making it the largest apparel retail chain of its kind in the country. It registers an annual footfall of over 3 million customers. Planet Fashion’s stores are usually spread over an area of 1,500 to 6,000 sq ft primarily catering to menswear and focuses on its in-house brands. Signage companies engaging in store branding, in-shop signage, fabrication, etc will benefit from the rapid expansion in retail sector.
