New Canon imagePROGRAF TM and TX Series printers target AEC, retail, and education

Canon’s new imagePROGRAF TX-4300 printer is part of Canon’s latest expansion delivering high-productivity large-format printing. The new 12 new devices across its imagePROGRAF TM and TX large-format printer series, are available now through authorized Canon partners. The TM series additions — TM-615, TM-610M, TM-610, TM-600, TM-510M, TM-510 and TM-500 — are designed for architecture, engineering, retail, education and light graphics applications. The series now includes two MFP models for the first time: the TM-610M, printing up to 36 inches, and TM-510M, printing up to 24 inches, each with an integrated large-format scanner in a compact footprint.

The scanners use light sources on both sides of the sensor to reduce shadows from creased or wrinkled documents. Preset scan modes optimize output for CAD drawings, colour maps and blueprints. Scan speeds reach up to 5 inches per second in color and 10 inches per second in monochrome. The three MFP models in the TX series are equipped with a 15.6-inch monitor for reviewing and editing scanned images in real time. The scanner operates independently of the printer, allowing simultaneous scanning and printing. Both series models muse a newly developed matte black ink. Both support Chromebook compatibility; TM models are Mopria-certified for mobile printing.
