National Textile Corp to open 300 stores this year

National Textile Corporation (NTC), a state-run enterprise under the Textile Ministry, plans to open 300 of its Indian Republic apparel stores this year, after a soft-launch of the brand this January. The Indian Republic brand would cater to men’s fashion with a range of apparel in casual and formals categories.  The company is expecting an annual turnover of Rs 1.5 crore per store. The Indian Republic stores are being designed by Fitch Design, which has designed stores for other popular retail chains such as Shoppers Stop, Arvind Brands and Park Avenue. Such new move of the company towards aggressive expansion plan will be an added advantage for the signage players whose activities revolve around in-shop designs, displays and related tasks.
