Signage firms, which comprise PSPs, fabricators, sign makers, must keep themselves alert to tap the new business opportunities surfacing in the retail segment as big MNCs like Metro Cash & Carry has opened its third store in Hyderabad. Metro Cash & Carry, as part of its long-term India expansion, announced the launch of the third store as one of its strategic India expansion. The global retail major is planning to open more such wholesale distribution store in near future. It plans to operate 50 such facilities in the country by 2020, with each centre attracting an investment of at least Rs 70 crore. The new centre would help Metro expand its engagement with local producers (predominantly farmers) through increased localised procurement, and also provide farmers with doorstep procurement among other initiatives.
