German wholesale brand Metro Cash & Carry has marked its entry into Uttar Pradesh by opening its first outlet in the state capital Lucknow today. Terming Uttar Pradesh as “a key state” in its expansion strategy, a source from the company said they intend to widen footprint beyond Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav inaugurated the 55,000-sq ft wholesale store. Metro has tied up with farmers and regional suppliers to present an assortment tailored to meet local business needs. This is an added business advantage for the signage companies whose jobs revolve around in-shop branding and graphics projects.
