MedPlus, one of the India’s second largest pharmacy retailers, has announced the opening of new 1100 new stores in all districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh through the franchise route. The proposed expansion is in contrast with the company’s existing model of running its own stores. Medplus, with over 1,350 outlets spread across 12 states in the country, operates only about 4 percent of them under the franchise model. This is a golden opportunity for the signage players whose activities involved in in-store branding, designs and related tasks in the sector.
