Premium footwear fashion brand Steve Madden is looking forward to adding 10 standalone stores in India by 2016-17. Some of the new cities being explored include Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Kochi, Coimbatore and others. Marketed in India by Reliance Brands Ltd, the New York-based footwear major (Steve Madden) has some 15-odd stores across nine major cities in India that include Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Bengaluru, Ludhiana, Chandigarh and Kolkata. Between last year and now, Steve Madden has seen a 30 per cent growth. New store additions would mostly be in malls rather than high streets. Now, signage companies dealing in in-store displays, designs, branding, etc, will able to tap fresh projects in the sector.
