Hewlett Packard (HP) has appointed Mike Boyle (in pic) as its new head of HP GSB (Graphics Services Business) in the Asia Pacific and Japan, replacing Gido van Praag. Van Praag leaves the role after five years to become vice president of GSB EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), HP’s biggest region for its commercial print business. Boyle, former general manager of Canon Professional Print Australia, joins HP as the company experiences major growth across the region and across its brands, with HP Indigo the dominant digital press in commercial print. It has also commenced a major push into packaging, on the back of a 70 percent market share for its digital brand Indigo.
