H&M opens first India store at New Delhi

Swedish fashion retailer Hennes and Mauritz (H&M) opens its first flagship store in India at Select Citywalk, Saket, New Delhi. People thronged to the newly unveiled H&M store. The 25,000 sq. ft store houses leading foreign fashion labels such as Zara, Mango, Tommy Hilfiger and GAP. H&M is the latest brand to woo young aspirational shoppers in India. Last month, American fashion retailer GAP opened its first flagship store in the country with a promise to open 40 more. Now, signage companies having been into in-shop branding and display activities must prepare themselves ‘ready’ to tap this big opportunity that big fat overseas brands keep brining to the country’s retail domain.
