FVIL acquires shares of Clarks Future Footwear, plans new stores

Future Ventures India Ltd (FVIL), a part of the Kishore Biyani-promoted Future Group, announces additional investment in footwear firm Clarks Future Footwear Ltd (CFFL), by purchasing 25 lakh equity shares of the company, for an estimated Rs 2.5 crore. CFFL is a joint venture between UK’s C&J International and FVIL, in which the Future Group firm has a 50 percent stake. With plans to achieve a turnover of Rs 23 crore during FY 2011-12, it has already commenced operations in India with five standalone stores and around ten shop-in-shops across the country and planning for more. Growth in retail sector is always a sunshine opportunity for the signage companies dealing with in-store displays and relative items.
