Essar Steel currently has 3 Hypermarts and 15 Expressmarts in Kerala and was planning to increase its Expressmarts to 23 by the end of the year 2011. Essar Hypermart is a pioneering initiative of Essar Steel to make steel available to end users close to the user point. With over 500 retail outlets across the country, the concept of Essar Hypermart has revolutionised the marketing of steel in India. The increase of retail distribution network in the state will deliver a new business opportunity to the in-store signage companies, PSPs, fabricators and others.
