Tamil Nadu-based masala brand is planning a chain of Chettinad restaurants, the latest diversification of this nearly two-decade-old group inspired by the success of global chains such as KFC and McDonalds. The south Indian restaurant chain will start in the first quarter of this year in five locations. First, the company wants to see whether they can sustain and then blow the trumpet and indeed this new move of the restaurant chain will give signage players a new business opportunity to exploit fresh projects in in-shop displays, branding and other related jobs.
