Clearshield Ultra from Marabu is a two-component water-based liquid laminate with easy-to-apply coating to provide UV protection, chemical and abrasion resistance for a wide variety of substrates. It has been designed to be hand-applied and/ or with liquid laminators such as StarLam 1600R with non-water- sensitive media and ink. Fully cured and achieves final coating after 7 days. Suitable for signage, billboards and banners, Clearshield Ultra is available in gloss and matte. Its key features include UV protection as well as state-of-the-art UV inhibitors to prevent fading and prolong image life outdoors.
Available in both gloss and matte finishes, Clearshield Ultra is flexible and tough to protect against marring and chemical damage while maintaining flexibility. It is compatibility with bonds exceptionally well with Latex and UV-curable inks. Application & compatibility methods include its ease of application by hand (using rollers) or with automated liquid laminators (such as the StarLam 1600R). When it comes to cost saving, liquid laminates can save up to 60 percent in production costs compared to traditional film laminates.
