Global retail companies upbeat about growth prospects in India

Renowned global retailers such as H&M, AB and Wal-Mart are upbeat about opportunities in India, which remains a bright spot even as major emerging markets China, Brazil and Russia slow. According to a source from H&M, the company is targeting to grow 10-15 percent each year and the expansion will be much faster in India. And the world’s largest retailer Wal-Mart is stepping up expansion plans, targeting to open 70 wholesale outlets by 2020—up from the previous target of 50, as per an announcement from Wal-Mart India. Call it good news for the signage companies. Now those (signage players) engaged in in-store branding, displays and related jobs may get a big business opportunity with such market buoyancy in the retail domain.
