Current scenario of inkjet printing in India offers a vast array of opportunities. Some industries like textiles which account for a very small percentage of the printing industry are however inevitably expected to rise in near future. As increasing number of consumers who are demanding fast turnarounds of designs and more frequent design changes in various domains of textile and ceramic industries could only be fulfilled through digital technology. Also the requirement to produce economic short runs is becoming invaluable, fuelling the adoption of digital solutions.
While talking to Sign & Graphics, Justin Stamp, distribution manager, Xennia UK commented on prospective ventures of India’s large-format industry into the realm of industrial printing. “Pre-and post-treatment and stringent colour management is essential to get the performance expected by print customers.
