In a bid to expand its retail footprint, Vodafone Idea (Vi) has rolled out 300 new-format ‘Vi Shops’ across Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal and UP West. And it is planning to further increase its presence in more rural markets in the coming months. Customers in Indapur, Maharashtra; Hapur in Western UP; Basirhat in West Bengal; Usilampatti in Tamil Nadu; Payyoli in Kerala; and hundreds of other such towns will have access to quick, face-to-face service along with a range of differentiated products and offerings, it added. The company pointed out that the Vi Shops in tier-III towns will provide an uniform experience to local customers, enabling quick support and handholding. An in such mega expansion move of Vi is an added business opportunity for the signage companies engaging in in-store branding, graphics and such applications.
