William Smith has launched a new software platform that helps installers apply paint protection film (PPF) with greater ease and accuracy, while providing access to precision-made kits for a wide range of vehicles. ClearCut allows installers to design and cut precision PPF kits for cars, vans, and fleets. With more than 400,000 vehicle patterns in its database and weekly updates, the software simplifies PPF application and helps businesses capitalise on this fast-growing market. ClearCut includes several features designed to support installers and deliver efficiencies.
The unique features of ClearCut are: Super nesting that automatically arranges media to minimise material waste and control costs when working with premium films; A mirror function that enables easy adjustment between left-hand and right-hand drive vehicles by creating mirrored versions of designs; A text tool that allows custom branding or logos to be added directly into designs, opening opportunities for more personalised or branded applications. To support the launch, William Smith’s in-house PPF specialists, Neil Manning and Michael Duffield, will provide guidance on both the materials and the ClearCut software, helping businesses maximise the system’s potential from day one.
