Wal-Mart India will open its store at Gajuwaka in Vizag later this year. It will be the fourth Wal-Mart Best Price store in Andhra Pradesh. The store, which is designed for consumer packaging goods, general merchandise, electronic appliances, fresh fruits, vegetables and dairy products, is now at an advanced stage of construction. The company has acquired roughly four acres near Autonagar on lease and will complete the construction in two months with a built-up area of 56,000 sq ft and parking facility for 150 cars. Walmart has stores in Vijayawada, Rajahmundry and Guntur in the state. Opening of the high-end stores by the retail biggies like Wal-Mart will be an added business opportunity for the signage companies engaging in in-store projects.
