Van Heusen to boost outlets, eying luggage and eyewear segment

Leading apparel brand Van Heusen launches its largest store and a new retail identity in the capital recently at Ambience Mall, Delhi. The brand, launched in India in 1990 and marketed by Madura Fashion & Lifestyle, has 135 stores all over the country and wants to hit 150 by the year end. Its portfolio includes casual wear, Van Heusen Women, and Van Heusen Sport, besides their trademark formal wear. Continuing with their branching-out strategy, the brand plans to enter the non-apparel segment with a range of footwear to be launched in November this year. It is also eyeing other segments like luggage and eye-wear, then the new development in the company’s retail domain will bring in a new business opportunity to the signage companies dealing extensively in in-store signage and displays.
