Pune-based Universal Construction Machinery and Equipment Ltd is expanding its retail format in north India. The company has inaugurated its eighth Universal Exclusive store at Rudrapur recently. The company has aggressive plans for its retail business and will expand its retail format to cities such as Srinagar and Jaipur in next two to three months and is planning to launch a total of 35 stores across India in the next two years. The company already has Universal Exclusive showrooms at Surat, Nagpur, Patna, Coimbatore and Siliguri. Surging in the retail sector with the unveiling of Universal stores across the country will be an added advantage for the signage companies dealing in in-shop signage, displays, graphics and others.
