To be launched globally at Digital Print UK show in November, LumeJet S200 has the potential to change the way photographic printing is done. With print sizes up to 305mm wide by almost any length, the LumeJet will produce true contone images with crisp fine lines and pin-sharp text (right down to 1-point size, reversed out of a coloured background).
The machine is an invention and features a patented photonic technology which produces an ultra high resolution, equivalent to more than 8000 dpi inkjet quality. The photonic technology is an inkless process ideal, the makers say, for layflat books. Using RGB colourspace, it’s ICC profiled and achieves amazing colour fidelity, including hard-to-print Pantone spot colours like Reflex Blue, neons, metallics and pastels, not to mention flawless solid black.
