Trotec Laser has announced that final assembly of Speedy 360 and Speedy 400 laser systems is now taking place at the company’s headquarters in Plymouth, Michigan. This marks a key step in Trotec’s long-term strategy to grow its U.S. presence and bring more of its production process stateside. The move is designed to improve responsiveness to US customers while increasing resilience and flexibility in Trotec’s global operations. Key benefits of the shift include: Faster delivery and shorter lead times for Speedy systems; Improved part availability for service and repairs; Streamlined upgrades and custom configurations; Tighter integration between production, service, and sales teams.
The final assembly of the ‘Speedy’ systems has helped the diversification of production locations, reducing risks from geopolitical events and shipping disruptions; and also supported for future capacity growth. The Plymouth facility of Trotec Laser already manages customer service, training, warehousing, and logistics. With the addition of assembly operations, the location becomes a central production hub for North American operations. This change reflects the company’s evolving role in the US market and its focus on delivering more tailored, responsive service.
