Toni & Guy plans to have 150 stores in south India within three years

Global salon brand Toni & Guy is planning to have its presence in South India expanded from the current 51 salons to 150 salons in next three years. The company’s South Indian master franchisee is planning to have 25 percent of this 150 stores, as a company-owned, company-operated (COCO) salons. While Essensuals brand caters to customers in the mass segment with a price range of Rs 150-1500 for a hairstyling, Toni & Guy will see a higher income customers offering services in the price range of Rs 400-2,000 for hairstyling. For Essensuals, the investment would be around Rs 50-60 lakh a salon, while for Toni & Guy, it wold be around Rs 70-80 lakh. Of course, signage companies must tap such opportunity in in-shop branding, displays, designs and related activities.
