India’s continuing baby boom is kicking up business opportunities for both domestic and foreign apparel makers. After the launch of India’s first kids designer wear store Kidology, the entry of Italian brand Chicco and UK’s Adams, Tommy Hilfiger has also entered the kidswear market. The US$3-billion brand has launched its kidswear line in 15 doors — or stores — in seven cities, including two exclusive kidswear stores in Delhi and Chandigarh. The new stores for tiny tots in the cities would bring in a new plethora in the business of in-store signage companies.
