TexMex Cuisine India, owned and backed by TVS Shriram Growth Fund, will be investing $5 million to open eight more outlets in the next two years. TexMex Cuisine is the development partner of Texas-based Brinker International, which owns the American casual dining restaurant chain Chili’s Grill and Bar. TexMex has the licence to operate full service restaurants in the south and western parts of India. The first outlet in Chennai was inaugurated recently at the Express Avenue Mall. TexMex has 10 outlets spread across Powai, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata and Chandigarh. It is planning to open more outlets in Chennai, Bengaluru and Mumbai and also enter Tier-II cities such as Goa, Coimbatore, Mangaluru and Indore. Signage players can roll up their sleeves to grab in-store projects with the unveiling of the new stores.
