Tata Starbucks, a 50:50 JV between US-coffee major Starbucks and Tata Global Beverages, has announced plan to open more than 25 stores this year, especially in tier-II cities, to sustain its revenue growth in India in the long term. The company has about 118 stores across seven cities in India. Only last year, they opened about 25 stores, including new locations like Kolkata. The company is planning to open more than that this year and add at least one more city this year. Tata Starbucks’ plan to penetrate into tier-II cities for new stores is a new business opportunity for the signage companies whose activities involve in in-store graphics and branding projects.
