Tanishq to open 25 standalone ‘Mia’ stores by 2016

Tata Group’s jewellery division, Tanishq, has planned to open around 25 standalone stores of its sub-brand ‘Mia’ by 2016 as the company looks to grow turnover from the brand. While, Tanshiq will continue to sell Mia brand jewellery as growth of business for the brand will come from the standalone stores. Tanishq, which launched Mia brand for working women in 2011, sells Mia jewellery range from its existing stores at present. After initial years of support from Tanishq, the group sees opportunity in growing Mia brand from standalone stores. Such strategic move of the company will offer an added business advantage for the signage companies dealing in in-shop displays, branding and related activities.
