Tanishq, which launched the Mia brand for working women in 2011, is planning to open standalone stores for the brand, as well as shop-in-shops formats at multi brand outlets such as Shoppers Stop. The company plans to open 25 new standalone Mia stores by the end of the current financial year as it looks to grow turnover from the brand. According to a source from the company, growth of Mia brand has been consistent for the last few years, upwards of 20-25 per cent CAGR. Right now, Mia brand is strongly under Tanishq’s shadow but the company wants to open parallel fresh retail line. Such new expansion move of the company is a fresh business opportunity for the signage companies whose jobs involve in in-store signage and graphic projects.
