SunJet launches Aquacure technology

SunJet, the global inkjet division of Sun Chemical, presented its new water-based inkjet inks, which utilise its Aquacure technology. The new invention of the company was staged attractively during the recently concluded FESPA 2015 in Cologne. SunJet showed samples of the new Aquacure technology and stated that the newly developed aqueous chemistry will have a revolutionary impact on both well established and emerging inkjet market segments. Aquacure technology delivers adhesion to a broad range of media, offers superb flexibility, is odour free and has an extensive colour gamut.

The Aquacure technology delivers significant advantages in the graphics sector but is not limited to this sector as it can achieve migration limits and compliance for primary food packaging, in combination with appropriate press design. The technology also offers a very good health and safety and environmental profile, which delivers a significant reduction in the hazard of labelling compared to current solvent and UV chemistry. This aqueous chemistry also plays a significant role in SunJet’s ongoing drive to lead the market from a technology, environmental and product stewardship perspective.
