Subway restaurant opens its 350th restaurant in Jalandhar

The Subway restaurant chain has opened its 350th restaurant in India in Jalandhar, Punjab. With its first store in Delhi in December 2001, the chain’s plans for India are in line with its growth plans for Asia, with a target of opening more than 3,000 stores by 2017. The sandwich chain is currently growing at a rate of 2,000 stores annually, according to the company. All Subway restaurants are completely owned by local franchisees who are entrepreneurs. The opening/gradual expansion of the global sandwich chain would bring in a fresh business opportunity for the signage companies dealing in in-shop displays, branding, fabrication and others related activities.
