State-owned PSU Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) is set to open 50 more CNG filling stations in the Saurashtra region of the state. In near future, these CNG filling stations will be opened up on a franchised basis, the state government stated. Currently, there are in all 120 GSPC-run CNG filling stations in the state including 39 in Saurashtra region, 52 in Central Gujarat and 29 in South Gujarat regions, respectively. 50-odd stations, about 10 each would be opened on franchised basis in Morbi and Surendranagar towns, apart from 24 and 6 in Rajkot district and Rajkot city. It is a rejoice for the signage companies engaging in jobs for fuel station sector!
