Leading consumer electronics and information technology products manufacturer Sony India recently announced its investment of Rs 550 crore this year to expand retail outlets and boost marketing plans. The company had invested similar amount last year in expansion and marketing its new products. The company will increase its retail outlets to 16,000 shops by next year, from 10,000 now. Some of the outlets will be exclusively for the handset business. Such rapid and regular expansion plans of Sony India is a sunshine opportunity which every signage player engaging into the in-shop or in-store activities in the retail sector.
