Opening of Shoppers Stop Limited’s retail outlet at Ahmedabad has marked the company’s first footprint in Gujarat. The company will open eight more retail outlets across the country during the current financial year, taking the total number of large format retail outlets to 50 by March 2012 from the current 46. In first quarter, company’s turnover stood at Rs 446 crore on standalone basis. The large format SSL stores would offer premium international and Indian brands in personal accessories such as Tommy Hilfiger, DKNY, Espirit, Guess, Prada, Armani and FCUK. Shoppers Stop’s new move towards the expansion of the outlets in new destinations as well as all across the country will be a new business opportunity for the signage companies associated in in-store/in-shop signage.
