It has been quite some time since its establishment in the northern and western markets, home shopping player SHOP CJ, formerly known as STAR CJ Network India, has set its eyes on the southern market as the firm is in the process of expanding its distribution network in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. SHOP CJ is a 50:50 JV between South Korean home shopping major CJ O Shopping and Providence Equity Partners Group. The firm changed its nomenclature to SHOP CJ after Providence Equity Partners group replaced Star in the joint venture. Arrival of MNCs in the Indian retail domain is a big business opportunity which signage players can get a grip for projects revolving around in-shop displays, branding and designs, etc.
