Shell plans for 1,200 fuel retail outlets in India in 10 years

Shell announces its plan to open 1,200 fuel retail outlets in India, which has the potential to create around 200,000 jobs in the next decade. Currently, the company operates around 120 petrol stations across the country. Shell has already acquired land for 150 to 200 sites across India. Initial stages of the decade, the company plans to open 150 to 200 retail stations, but slow it down at the end of the decade. These retail stations will in all likelihood offer mosaic of solutions, not only relating to oil and gas, but also pertaining to electric, bio-fuels, LNG and may be hydrogen, in single retail station. Signage companies engaging in in-store branding and graphic projects will get new business opportunity with this countrywide fuel retail outlet expansion plan of Shell.
