SHARP has launched the world’s largest single panel professional LED display, which measures 229 cm, at an event held at the offices of the company’s newly-appointed local distribution partner for its visual solutions business, Stage Audio Works. The new LCD monitor boasts a screen big enough to showcase realistic life-size images. The LCD is ideal for a variety of indoor venues, including retail locations, educational institutes, conference rooms and public spaces.
Local dimming technology allows specific groups of LED’s to be independently dimmed or brightened for greater control of the darkness and brightness in different areas of the monitor, resulting in reduced power consumption. The LCD monitor offers a choice of landscape or portrait installation and a standard-equipped interface expansion board gives the monitor a comprehensive range of input/output jacks, including the DisplayPort interface. The LCD panel incorporates SHARP’s UV2A technology, which ensures highly efficient use of light from the backlight and prevents light leakage.
