Bangalore-based mobile phone seller Sangeetha Mobiles plans to raise Rs 100 crore from private equity players as it plans to expand from 300 to 1,000 stores by the end of next year through the franchise model and seek new markets beyond its stronghold in south India. The mobile company is yet to decide on the amount that will get diluted. Also, the company that sells about 100,000 handsets a month reported revenue of Rs 840 crore in 2013-14 but has set a target of over 40 per cent jump in the current financial year to Rs 1,200 crore. Such big expansion move of Sangeetha Mobiles will bring in fresh business opportunity for the signage companies whose activities revolve around in-shop displays, designs and related jobs.
