Leading luggage and travel accessories major Samsonite is aiming a business of Rs 1,000 crore in India by December 2015. In 2013, the company had domestic sales of Rs 647 crore in the country and wants to surpass Rs 1,000 crore by December 2015. To achieve the target, they have also been trying to enhance its reach in smaller towns this year the company’s focus for opening new stores would be with a target 60 new stores. The company had also invested Rs 100 crore in creating a new facility at Nasik for soft luggage to strengthen the segment. This rapid retail store expansion plan of the company will bring in a fresh business for the signage players whose activities revolve around in-shop displays and branding jobs.
