Jayaram Banan, founder of south Indian restaurant chains Sagar Ratna and Swagath, is starting yet another eating outlet chain, this time offering north Indian vegetarian cuisine for consumers who don’t eat onion and garlic–mainly the Jain and Marwari communities. The first restaurant is coming up in Delhi and Banan is also venturing into packaged snacks, pickles and ready-to-eat meals. Opening of the restaurant chain would bring in a new business opportunity for the signage companies dealing particularly in the (restaurant) segment as well as in indoor display activities.
