Roland receives Viscom Best of 2012 Award for inkjet printer/cutter PRO4 series

Roland SolJet PRO4 XR-640 launched in September 2012 and now receives a prestigious award from the Viscom organisation. The prize, which was awarded at Viscom Frankfurt in the recent past, acknowledges the most innovative new product and exhibitors. Among the many features, the versatile print and cut functionality of the PRO4 was a key factor in the jury’s decision, as it appeals to professional signmakers and enables their creative work. The diverse range of applications possible with the XR-640, including stickers, window decorations, banners, posters, textiles, vehicle-wrapping or canvas, was also an important consideration.

The award jury gave special praise for the choice of seven or eight colours including CMYKLcLm, Light black, white or metallic inks. The PRO4 really set itself apart for the jury with the high quality and absolute precision of the prints it produces. The 64-inch XR-640 combines accelerated print speeds with Roland’s renowned integrated print/cut technology, an innovative new print head design, both seven and eight-colour configurations, and new ECO-SOL MAX2™ inks in nine colours: cyan, magenta, yellow and black (CMYK), plus light cyan (Lc), light magenta (Lm), white (Wh), metallic silver (Mt) and new light black (Lk).
