Reliance Retail has opened its second Reliance Mart store in Tamil Nadu and its first store in Coimbatore. Located at the Fun Republic Mall on Avinashi Road in Peelamedu, the store is spread over 45,000 sq ft. The next store in the pipeline is Salem where the retailer intends to open a store in the next six months. It opened its first store in the state in Tiruchi in 2007. With a minimum space of about 30,000 sq ft, Reliance Mart is a large-format store. Among the varied formats of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL)’s retail segment, Reliance Mart will house its brands and act as a one-stop solution for consumers with its wide range of goods. Mushrooming of the company’s outlets in the south Indian cities would bring fresh business opportunity for the signage companies dealing in in-store signage and displays.
