Reliance Jio Infocomm is setting up 500,000 activation outlets and close to a million recharge outlets to prepare for the launch of its 4G services in the coming months. This will be in addition to the digital channels that Jio is promoting for seamless activation and recharge facilities for customers, according to a source from the company. In addition, all outlets will have real-time access to the 1,072 Jio offices set up across the country. Currently, Jio’s services are being used by employees, vendors, partners and associates as part of the trial launch, which has resulted in on-boarding of over 15 lakh customers. Mass opening of the recharge outlets will require in-shop branding, fabrication, designs and more, which signage companies can tap as fresh projects.
