G-Shield Premium, this product is designed specifically for non-porous substrates such as signs, metals, painted surfaces, vinyl, plastics, etc. It is a thin transparent non-sacrificial coating that not only protects against graffiti, but also is a anti-corrosive coating protecting against UV light and not allowing oxidisation of painted surfaces.
Developed by Kion Specialty Polymers, USA this products has been used around the world successfully but one of the more notably applications was to solve the graffiti problem being experienced by German rail company Deutsche Bahn. Graffiti was costing the company up to $77 million per year to repair affected trains from graffiti damage. The need for resistance against such vandalism was addressed by the treatment of the train interior and exterior with G-Shield anti-graffiti coating.
