Healthcare e-commerce portal Netmed is venturing into the brick-and-mortar space with the opening of 10 physical stores in Chennai. The company plans start off with the city and gradually expand its offline reach to other metro cities in the country. Netmeds is an online pharmacy that offers customers both medicines and other healthcare products through its online portal, mobile application and customer care call centres. The physical stores will operate under the same brand name. Netmeds will invest around Rs 15 lakhs-Rs 20 lakhs to set up the physical stores and this new move of the healthcare company will bring a fresh business opportunity for the signage companies dealing in in-store branding and design projects.
